CO - OWNERSHIP

We will have a co-owning opportunity coming up in April 2025. Please contact us for more information.

Or maybe, you are interested in becoming a co-owner.

Do you want to become part of the Pandora Kennels clan?

Helping to establish this wonderful breed in New Zealand as well as supporting ethical breeding by giving breeding dogs the best life possible, with one on one attention.

Most co-owner homes have become great friends and we stay in close contact, establishing a good relationship to make everyone involved happy (people and dogs).

Being a co-owner means:

  • The dog is living at your place full time and you are the primary owner

  • The dog is the pick of the litter = the best female

  • The cost of the dog is only $1000

  • We will pay for the health testing required for breeding and organize a vet visit (1 day, around 15 months of age)

  • We will pay for any costs related to breeding

  • The mating, whelping and puppies will be at our place (roughly 8 weeks in a year, perfect to plan your holidays without worrying about your dog)

  • There will be a reimbursement given to the foster homes after a litter, enough to feed the dog and pay normal vet costs for a year

  • Responsible breeding, where every breeding dog has her own family and gets all the attention she needs and deserves, can only be achieved when people are involved who truly care about animal welfare.

This is what we are looking for:

  • You are located in Auckland or Waikato area and don't plan to move.

  • You have experience with big dogs.

  • You are working from home or only part-time.

  • You love training your dog, so it will become a well behaved and well socialized dog.

  • You own your house.

  • You do not own another dog under 18 months.

Please contact us for more information.

NEED TO REHOME YOUR DOG?

Sometimes owners have to make the difficult decision to rehome their dog.

We know how daunting and hard this process can be, so we are happy to give advice and help to find a good home for your dog.

Steps you can take:

1. Let us know that you want to rehome your dog

2. Send us a few good pictures of your dog

3. Send us a good description of your dog. Include age, gender, good habits, bad habits, how your dog is with other dogs, cats, kids, if he/she needs high fencing, if they can be left alone for 4hrs a day and where you are located. It is important this is a fully honest description to be able to find a suitable new owner.

4. If your dog is younger than 18 months, he/she needs to be rehomed with an updated neuter/spay contract from Pandora Kennels.

5. If your dog is 18 months or older, he/she needs to be neutered/spayed before rehoming to fulfill the contract you signed with Pandora Kennels.

6. Post the pictures and description to social media - your personal accounts, White Swiss Shepherd groups and rehoming groups on Facebook.

7. You can put up a paid listing on trade me.

What will we (Pandora kennels) do to help?

1. We can help you write the description of your dog if need be

2. We will post/share on our social media pages where we have a wonderful community of White Swiss Shepherd lovers

3. We will advertise it on our website, sometimes we have people waiting for an adult dog to come available.

Please note that yes we are more than happy to help finding a new home, but we are not a dog rescue center so in most cases are not in a position to look after your dog. He/she remains your responsibility.
